Due to the high penetration of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic panels and wind turbines, in addition use different electric power supplies grid, there are major disturbances forms waves. These variations must be monitored controlled for efficient management transmission distribution electrical energy, safety, protection systems. Nowadays, Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) technology is an essential tool develop supervision, protection, control grid. PMUs measure amplitude angle current voltage waveforms on a Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time scale speedily fundamental frequencies their rates change using fast accurate estimation algorithms. This paper presents phasor Modified Cooley-Tukey Fast Fourier Transform algorithm based Generalized Discrete (DFT) used PMUs, simulations MATLAB. was utilized accelerate simplify computation DFTs. To validate performance under waveform disturbances, several tests with were simulated interpreted according standard compared DFT.
